The principal functions of this division are:

  •  To educate and advise employers, employees and the general public about the under-mentioned laws of Trinidad and Tobago, as they relate to wages and terms and conditions of workers who are not usually represented by a trade union and who are covered under the minimum wages act.

  • To check for compliance with minimum wages orders. Routine checks are done, and complaints are also investigated

  • To recommend litigation in cases where employers continuously ignore warnings of breaches
