CARICOM: COHSOD

The Ministry is also involved with the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), particularly as it relates to the free movement of labour in the CARICOM Single Market and Economy. The Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) of the CARICOM seeks to promote and develop coordinated policies and programmes to improve living and working conditions and to take measures to facilitate the promotion of harmonious labour and industrial relations in the Community. The Ministry has consistently advocated for meetings of the COHSOD focused on Labour and usually welcomes its discussions.
